Important: an ordinary Vietnamese passport cannot be "extended" — only newly issued or reissued. If yours was stolen, you must obtain a police report before filing; we guide you through that. Fast/Urgent/Express tiers are confirmed as feasible for your case before we quote — we never promise upfront.

Passport FAQs
What documents do I need for a lost or damaged passport?
For a lost passport you need form NA8 (we help you complete it). If it was stolen, you must first report it to the local police and obtain a report before filing — we guide you through that process.
Does my child need to attend in person?
No. A parent or legal guardian signs and files on the child’s behalf. You will need: birth certificate, a 4x6 white-background photo of the child, and the parent’s ID.
Is switching to a chip passport mandatory?
No — a non-chip passport remains valid until it expires. That said, if you are preparing a US, Australian or Schengen visa application, a chip passport is worth considering.
I live outside Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City — can you still help?
Yes. Since 1 May 2026 the VNeID system accepts passport applications online nationwide, regardless of registered residence. We offer full door-to-door service or guide you to file online yourself.
How long until I get my passport?
Depending on the tier you choose: Standard 8 working days, Fast 5 days, Urgent 3 days, or Express within 24 hours. For the Fast/Urgent/Express tiers we confirm feasibility for your specific case before quoting.
